…what do you do with a bouquet of peonies you don’t want to accept from someone? you feed it to your calf of course… a special piece! circa 1800s this dark but beautiful oil painting on stretched canvas features a maiden feeding her beloved cow a bouquet of peonies. there is crackle in the paint, some holes, and what looks to be a repair at one point, otherwise sturdy condition, but note all the wear as shown, unframed & unsigned.
