…quite possibly one of my favorite recent antique finds, this rare stunning polished turned wood st. moritz (most likely touristy souvenir) vessel, is wonderfully crafter out of the most amazing wood, look at that grain! this beauty unscrews to uncover a glass apothecary jar… um.. .yes please. what a treasure! the name s. mortiz is burned onto the front in beautiful script. note there are two small chips as shown in the last photo, and some scuffing typical with age, there is a very light split in the wood connecting to one of those chips. still sturdy and functioning excellently.. this is a wonderful treasure for someone who appreciates the quality and craftsmanship of antique objets!
