condition notes: as with age on many antique finds like this one, there is some notable wear on both the frame and canvas. specifically there is a rip that has been reinforced with duct tape (as found) and we caution against removing this tape unless managed by a professional as it may further damage the canvas. the tape is doing its job keeping the canvas together. the painting has also been touched up in the place where the rip sits offset the damage to the canvas, there is also two small punctures also visible. please review photos carefully and feel free to reach out to use with any questions. for a piece over 150 years old, overall the condition is sturdy and has many decades ahead of it.
